Activity Summary

Application of eco drainage has been developed in the world in different terms, such as Low Impact Development (LID) in the United States and Canada, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) in the United Kingdom, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) in Australia, and Low Impact Urban Design and Development (LIUDD) in New Zealand. The concept was later developed in Indonesia that called �ecodrain�. Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) have a responsibility to perform community service through a variety of discovery and application of appropriate technologies that can help resolve problems while enhancing harmonization campus and the surrounding community through service activities. Ecodrain applications for residents in the ITB region is considered important because it is technically able to reduce storm water runoff as a cause inundation and overcome the problems of domestic waste water in a communal scale. The results indicated satisfactory values in order to conserve 48.32% runoff average, consist of infiltrated 2,75%, utilized on rain harvesting 20,27%, and 28.66% accommodated in infiltration wells.
