Activity Summary

Population growth accompanied by an increase in activities will result in an increase in the volume of waste. This problem has become a focus point in West Java. Employeegi Village in West Bandung Regency has the potential to receive this waste management program because inorganic waste processing facilities are not yet supported by organic waste processing. The 2024 Community Service Bottom Up program aims to process organic waste which will then be sustainable with organic fertilizer as the output. Program implementation is carried out in three stages. First, field and literature studies were carried out to find gaps problems and solutions. After finding the best way, with Black Soldier Fly (BSF), preparations were then carried out and then cultivation was carried out using organic waste as feed. 3 batches of maggot feeding have been carried out and a waste reduction of around 1 kg/BSF tray has been obtained. The program is still being monitored for its sustainability.
