Activity Summary

Indonesia is one of the largest fruit-producing countries in the world with a very high biodiversity wealth, which is characterized by the diversity of Nutfah (genetic) plasma ecosystems. When viewed from statistical data relating to the amount of ultimate type of culture in this case, Indonesia has not even used the type of fruits of 60 types of fruits only 23 new types of fruit are used. Based on market surveys conducted by Industrial Partners (PT. SSN), Bali Province is the largest banana consumer because this fruit is important not only for daily consumption but also for the purposes of traditional ceremonies. However, currently the need for bananas cannot be fulfilled by local production, one of which is because of the low production and quality of post-harvest fruit. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge to ordinary people, students, high school teachers, farmers and agricultural practitioners regarding post-harvest management techniques for bananas in the province of Bali. The form of activity will be held in the form of training in class and in the field. The results of this training are expected to open insights and increase knowledge so as to increase the production and quality of Indonesian bananas, especially in the province of Bali.
