Naturally, flight threats are produced from all activities at the airport by passengers or goods. With the growth of air transportation, the threat level of flight activity will also increase. In order to guarantee the security of passengers, staff, and all airport elements, the airport as a flight operating place requires a reliable protection system. The purpose of this study was to develop a methodology to assess the level of risk at the airport in order to increase the level of risk of protection at the airport. Threat levels that can endanger airport security are categorized as several levels analyzed to the extent to which the level of risk can be tolerated as a reference for the preparation of the protective system standards at PT Airport. The results of this study can be used to deal with threats that occur at the airport through preventive actions by preparing a reliable protection system. Risk Assessment Approach is also able to evaluate the existence of the airport the protection system whether it can be tolerated to deal with threats or not, so that actions can be taken to improve system protection if the failure rate is still high and has a major impact on all airport elements.
