Activity Summary

The structure and function of biomolecules is one of the compulsory subjects for ITB students, especially the chemical study program of biochemical scientific groups, which contains basic knowledge of biochemistry including structures, organizations and functions of living materials (living substances) at the molecular level. Often, books that are a reference for learning are not easy to obtain and use terms that are difficult to understand. Therefore, the project of making textbooks structures and biomolecular functions under the P2MI, FMIPA, ITB programs is held in order to help the community, both students, students and teachers inside and outside ITB get basic sources of biochemical knowledge which is easy to understand. This book introduces the term in biochemistry and provides an understanding of the elements of living substances and complete structures of various biological compounds such as protein, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids, which are viewed from the simple molecules of the macromolecules. Broadly speaking, the subject written in this book includes introduction, amino acids and protein, enzymes, lipids and cell membranes, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and glycoproteins and cell receptors.

Target

Creating a Biomolecular Structure Textbook and Function
