The high level of pollution in the center of the Karangsono Village Sugar Industry has had an effect on disruption of the activities of the surrounding community life. The lack of knowledge of the method of waste management makes problems that are quite complex in social, environmental and health. Sugarcane waste, sugar cane charcoal and concentrated combustion smoke has become the main subject matter in the industry. More than 20 sugar factories operate every day with 12 tons of brown sugar production, the results of 30 tons of sugarcane 30 tons / day, sugar cane charcoal 8ton / day and smoke burning and concentrated. In this community service program it is designed a model of environmentally friendly chimneys based on sugar cane pulp as filters. Filters are designed by utilizing activated carbon properties in sugar cane charcoal as the main filter combined with sugarcane pulp. The model is expected to reduce the number of industrial waste pollution and solutions for environmental and health problems.
