"Bamboo is a very sustainable local building material. Lately the use of bamboo for building materials has increased sharply along with the increase in awareness of environmental sustainability. This community service is intended to promote the use of bamboo in the community by helping to design the needed public buildings. There are two religious facility buildings that will be helped by the design, a mosque in Cilengkrang Bandung, and the Bambu Mosque in Purworejo. The use of bamboo for the two buildings is intended to utilize many bamboo found in Bandung and its surroundings and in Purworejo, as well as introducing the use of bamboo for public buildings. In addition, one way to promote bamboo among Muslims is by giving an example of a representative modern bamboo building construction to change the perspective of the people who previously looked at the eye of bamboo construction. It is hoped that the use of bamboo can enter the Muslim community as one of the ways to realize Islam as a mercy for all nature."
