Agricultural restructuring and loss of manufacturing companies increases the need for non-agricultural income to support agricultural operations. Many families cannot afford or do not want to leave rural areas and need to find an alternative source of income in rural areas. The encouragement of new businesses is seen as a means to increase income and work and provide stability and growth in rural communities. Entrepreneurship activities will greatly focus on utilization of resources possessed by rural areas. However, the limitations of resources will limit entrepreneurial perpetrators to be creative utilizing available local resources. Therefore, a creative strategy is needed to make local resources useful. One potential that can be utilized by rural communities is that the advancement of technology that goes into rural areas, technology such as the internet has a role in rural development, one of which is in terms of providing information. The ease of acquisition of information will increase the knowledge of someone who will influence entrepreneurial activities in rural areas. The use of technology and information in rural areas will encourage economic development, increasing employment opportunities, increasing the flow of goods, and changes in its main livelihood strategies from agriculture become non-agriculture. This pelnelfian in its implementation uses a participatory approach to find out how the technology utilization strategy plays a role.
This study opened the treasure and new knowledge of the strategy of utilizing the technology to encourage the development of rural entrepreneurship.
