Activity Summary

Shrimp commodity is one of the largest selling value commodities, which contributes to 15% of the total selling value of all fishery products in the world. White shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) is one of the species of shrimp with the highest productivity level, reaching more than 13,600 kg / ha. Based on the research that has been conducted, it is evident that the hybrid technology of the Zero-Water Discharge (ZWD) system and the aquaculture (race) recirculation system that is applied to (nursery) of white shrimp in Indramayu, West Java can increase the productivity of white shrimp culture. To develop the area, training and assistance are needed using hybrid cultivation technology for the surrounding community. Community service focused on cultivation training and assistance from the beginning to the end of the harvest for 3 months. The purpose of the study was to produce shrimp farmer groups that were able to use hybrid technology. The end result is a group formed from 5 shrimp farmers.
