Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Ulum in Padalarang is developing long term planning for the entire integrated-area of Islamic Boarding School. The development covers main buildings, agro-tourism, and outbound facilities, which can be used by the students in the Pondok Pesantren as well as societies around Bandung Barat District. Exploration activities are performed to investigate and understand the geological condition of the Pondok Pesantren area. Undulating and steep morphology is challenging to be mapped in detail. It has to be done, since the terrain will be modified by the development of infrastructure buildings. Lithology contacts, structures, and lineaments need to be mapped before giving the recommendation of locations for building construction. The local mining activities in the area of Pesantren (limestones and sandstones minings) can support the development, especially for dimension stones supply. The lithology of Padalarang area mostly consists of coral/reef limestones that develop deep aquifers below surface.
