This Community Service Program is an initiative to disseminate information about the rich history and culture found at Borobudur Temple to the community, especially children. Through interactive picture story books for children, the "Diary of Nada in a special edition specifically for Borobudur Temple" series, story narratives equipped with visual illustrations can encourage interest in reading and help understand the text, especially for beginner readers. Illustrations offer story visualizations interpreting historical objects that depict the variety of flora in Java during the Majapahit Kingdom. In this research, the children's song entitled "Pemandangan" created by AT Mahmud and interactive activities were used as learning media through song books and musical performances. The use of this song is designed to attract the interest of today's children while reintroducing the rich culture of the past. Descriptive qualitative research methods were applied involving elementary school teachers and students through observation, interviews and discussions to develop and test the effectiveness of this approach. It is hoped that the results can contribute to the development of interactive educational media that connects children with Indonesian history and culture.
Identify and classify visual objects on the Borobudur temple reliefs that are relevant to the theme of flora and activities. Integrating visual objects from floral reliefs into the visualization of children's songbooks in an interesting and educational way. The best approach is to make the book interactive thereby encouraging children's engagement and creativity
Making this book interactive so that children can get to know history and encouraging children's involvement and creativity through the Diari Nada book series is now available in a special edition specifically for Borobudur Temple.
