In general, the P3mi KKPP activities are divided into 2 program categories, namely research and social service. Research and service activities to the PP KK community involve urban issues, as well as residential policy studies in urban and development contexts. In the allocation of research, each topic has the approach and method of each and is used according to the needs of each topic. With a variety of topics, the approach to conducting research must also be varied. Most studies use qualitative methods that are modified in various ways according to the needs and needs of empirical data collection. But there is also a study that emphasizes the quantitative method in handling empirical data. Meanwhile, KK PP social service activities also faced similar problems. These activities have been carried out in various practices with emphasis on housing and settlements in the context of urbanization. The topics raised in social activity have emerged new actors in the provision of housing, both formally and informally. In conclusion, 8 Research and social activities above are multi-year activities that have just begun in 2017. By paying attention to the importance of sustainable science development, the activity will be extended in the coming years so that in the third year it can be produced more comprehensive output and applicable. With these types of research and service, it is hoped that KK PP is constantly contributing to the science and learning of housing and residential development practices
