Activity Summary

In recent years, Indonesia has lost forests to 2 million hectares per year, especially due to illegal logging and land conversion triggered by excess processing capacity and ineffectiveness in law management and enforcement. The phenomenon also occurred in Geulis Mountain forests where there was damage to biological resources, resulting in damage and endangered by the water source in the Geulis Mountain Forest area. One effort in overcoming these problems is to provide knowledge and skills to the public regarding the use of wooden branches in forests that have not been utilized optimally. The technology is a mushroom cultivation technique by analyzing fungal seedlings in tree branches directly through the holes that have been made first. In addition to training and mentorizing the residual trees-based mushroom mushrooms, there is also entrepreneurial training, business management to increase the capacity of HR and Hayati Resources (Biocapacity) in meeting the needs of food and local economy. The purpose of the implementation of this community service program is the achievement of community independence and income around Mount Geulis in the fulfillment of local food and economic needs through timber fungal cultivation.
