Activity Summary

KKN Collaboration Enhance 2021 is an activity initiated by the Enhance team (Enabling Humanitarian Attributes for Nurting Community-Based Engineering). The main focus is to develop a curriculum in the field of engineering using the approach to how to make engineering solutions to consider the aspects of humanity. The ENHANCE 2021 Collaboration KKN activity was a second moment held by KKN which established a cooperation between three universities, namely ITB, UGM, and UB Participants from this activity consist of a combination of students from each Indonesian Collaborator (UGM, UB and ITB) and foreign students from the University of Warwick. In addition, the KKN Collaboration activities synergized with various parties, including the activities of the Thematic / Regular ITB KKN organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs of the Community Subdirectorat Subdirectorate, ITB Rural Empowerment Center (P2D ITB) and research and service institutions to the ITB community. KKN collaboration is part of the KKN to build the village (KKN-D) ITB and divided into three stages, namely pre-implementation, field execution, and post-implementation. The pre-implementation of the KKN building village (KKN-D) ITB is the preparation stage before students plunged directly into the community in the form of debriefing the lecture material and the design of the program with mentors and supervising lecturers. Field execution is the core activity of the KKN building village (KKN-D) ITB 2021 where students carry out programs in the destination village, namely Ciroyom Village, Bojonggir, Tasikmalaya District with 3 systems, namely Full Online, Termin Offline, and Full Offline with the implementation time according to the agreement group with each mentor. After the implementation is the stage of evaluation and reporting of the KKN that has been carried out.

These parties involved in the activities of the KKN Collaboration Enhance 2021 include the implementing team and students from each university (UGM, ITB and UB). By conducting this KKN, the experience of sharing knowledge and training cooperation from each party. From the local community can take advantage of outcomes as one of the stimulation to develop its regions. The University of Warwick was the initiator of Enhance activities and attended the exhibition and presentation of the KKN Collaboration students, received an overview and reference to how to implement community service in Indonesia. This is in line with the objectives of Enhance activities, namely increasing graduates of engineering education which are able to face humanitarian challenges by contributing directly to the surrounding community.
