Activity Summary

"Papua as the largest island in Indonesia that provides very abundant natural resources is still not well managed, including in terms of education as a key to the welfare of the community. The government has stated a plan for the division of provincial regions in the Papua region (Figure 2). The pemekaran step is an effort to progress, this progress must be welcomed by efforts to improve the level of people's welfare. In this competition there is no other way except by increasing the level of education for the ability to produce community work to get wages and live life. The ""Management Scheme for the application of distance learning and digital certification facilities to improve the level of education and expertise in Papua."" This is intended to realize the equitable equalization of education throughout the territory of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Inequality between the quality of central and regional education has become a problem that has not been resolved to date. But Pandemi Covid-19 has forced all activities to be able to enter the virtual space, this phenomenon also forces digitization of various activities, including the education sector. The availability of technology and communication facilities in the regions has provided opportunities for the elimination of inequality between the conditions of education at the center and in the regions. The unavailability of physical infrastructure can now be replaced by virtual infrastructure that is carried often with gadget technology along with evenly distributed communication signals into the region, so that the physical space is now not an obstacle for teaching and learning activities, even work with complicated expertise can be done with technology which abbreviated this distance and time. Eastern Indonesia, especially Papua has been left behind in terms of the level of education, which certainly has an impact on work skills and income. To bring education to Papua is not a difficult matter, the key to this time is the manager of management who can be dedicated to building a virtual system to realize the equitable level of education. The purpose of this community service activity is to build a virtual education system for the realization of equitable quality of education in eastern Indonesia, especially Papua. Of course the target of this project is the education system in the region, with physical inffrastructure limitation, regulations should confirm to establish a virtual way that has been forced by Pandemi Covid-19 which rolled out a year back. It is hoped that this educational affordability can improve the level of education in Papua and create equity between the central and regional areas. Project activities in 2022 are focused on taking the possibility of implementing this free distance learning to get to Papua. Then in the following year it can be started for simulation to the free community in Papua, activities will have an impact on the penetration of the rights to wider community education. The hope is to improve the standard of living of the people of Papua by increasing the level of education. This community service activity will be documented with YouTube videos and open for public access through the LPPM ITB website. Publications through several types of electronic media will be carried out so that people are informed about big data technology applied by researchers from ITB DI, Papua Province."
