the problem of scarcity of clean water, especially in the 3T area (left behind , Foremost, and outermost) still not resolved. As part of the ITB business contributes to help provide solutions to this problem, in 2022 the Solar Still Installation Installation activities in the 3T of Central Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara funded by the Bottom-Up 2022 community service program. Proposal with the same topic is submitted Back in 2023 to continue the program that has been running, namely by using Solar Still technology.
Encourage the people of Central Sumba to use technology in overcoming the problems encountered in everyday life; Helping the people of 3T Central Sumba Regency to overcome the problem of scarcity of clean water using solar energy sources.
The benefits of this community service project are the availability of solutions for the people in Central Sumba Regency to overcome the limitations of clean water using appropriate technology to be sourced by solar energy. One of the activities carried out in this community service project is to download students and high school teachers to visit ITB. Through this visit it is expected that students and teachers can become agents of change in their respective neighborhoods. With this strategy it is expected that the process of transferring knowledge and technology can be more accepted by the local community, because it is carried out by the children of the Central Sumba region itself. This intrinsic change is expected to accelerate changes in mindset and acceptance of new technology such as solar still. In addition, this visit also motivated students to study harder so that in the end it could help their respective areas.
