Activity Summary

Ekopesantren as a scientific diskurus refers to an environmentally friendly boarding school education. Some studies compile this concept from various environmental management practices by several 'established' boarding schools, so that it becomes a conceptual construction that, on the one hand, but on the other hand is too 'expensive' to be applied in the majority of boarding schools, which are usually managed in a manner self -help and 'perfunctory'. Different from this tendency, based on the results of dedication at the Attibyan Islamic Boarding School, Belopa, South Sulawesi, this paper wants to show that an ecopesantren is not a foreign concept that must be forced and expensive into the pesantren education system, but is an amaliah that can be found and practiced simply In any pesantren education system. This is because the Islamic ecopesant is essentially pivoting on environmental ethics which is an integral part of the teachings of Islamic ethics in general. Thus, the touch of 'social engineering' in forming an ecopesantren is not directed to build this environmental morals from zero, but is intended to direct the moral practice of the environment in pesantren, but has a positive impact on the environment.



Target

Integration of environmental fiqh into the boarding school curriculum; Socialization of the Ekopesantren Model in accordance with the Attibyan Islamic Boarding School; Environmental cleanliness activities of the boarding school



Testimonials

The benefits of this project are the implementation of environmental morals in the Islamic boarding school education system which has the potential to become a 'catalyst' for environmental moral changes at the community level more broadly. For ITB, this project is a manifestation of Darma Devotion to the community, where the campus has a moral responsibility to contribute to the settlement of social and community problems, including environmental problems. This project will further emphasize the important role of ITB in the completion of environmental problems, especially in the boarding school environment.
