Activity Summary

Creative Economy (Ekraf) has been the focus of attention over the past few years, especially when this sector has been able to survive and even develop in the midst of Pandemi. This success is supported by the use of digital technology and identification of appropriate interested parties. At the city level, Ekraf was appointed as a strategic factor in development planning, receiving attention in world forums. Policy Recommendations from the Urban Task Force 20 at the G20 2022, Think 20 at the G20 2021, and Side Event U20 at the G20 Indonesia emphasize the application of the city scale creative economy.

 

Cooperation Between the UNESCO Cities Platform (UCP) and the Indonesia Creative Cities Network (ICCN) in the "Beyond Urban" event produced "Urban Solutions" as a guide for UNESCO members, especially from the perspective of UNESCO's creative cities. World Conference on the 3rd Creative Economy (WCCE) in Bali, October 2022, created "Bali Creative Economy Roadmap" which highlighted the role of Ekraf in facing future challenges, also mentioned in the Indonesian G20 Communike 2022.

At the community level, ICCN, with membership in 240 cities/districts throughout Indonesia, issuing publications and documents related to creative cities/districts based on their research and experience. ICCN is also trying to formulate a Creative City/Regency Index (IKK) which adapts to the Indonesian government performance index, as a guide for local governments in making policies and regulations based on the dynamics of the creative economy sector in the region.

Organizations such as the Creative Economy Committee & amp; West Java Innovation (Creation) plays a role in facilitating creative economic actors and completing a conducive creative economy ecosystem in the development of West Java Province. Various efforts from stakeholders related to creative cities provide opportunities to evaluate the framework of organizations with the focus of "creative city" activities and provide references for city/district development strategies based on the potential of the creative economy in their region. & Nbsp;

 



Target

Assessing the track record of the formation of national creative city/district networks and their influence on the development of the creative economy sector in cities/districts in Indonesia; Exploring the Indonesian Creative City/District Networking Framework which is a guide for the development of the creative economy sector, both in cities/districts in Indonesia and in the world; Analyzing the framework of the creative city/district node organization and its relevance for the creative economy sector in the future, related to efforts to realize sustainable development in Indonesia
