The pollution area also increased to around 10 hectares on April 27, 2022. The city of Bima itself has a population of 155 thousand people in 2020 is one of the cities that has a risk of flooding and other water disasters based on World Bank studies (Stanton Gedes and Vun, 2019). Like other cities in Indonesia, Bima experienced an increase in population and urbanization that caused the development of slums, especially around the riverbanks. Generally, clean water and sanitation infrastructure facilities in slums have not been well organized, this also happens in the city of Bima. Domestic wastewater management that has not been handled properly, causing pollution of water bodies around the location of the slums. In addition there has also been a massive change in land use for corn plantations, so that the potential for the brought material of runoff water during the rainy season cannot be avoided."
