Activity Summary

The earthquake that occurred in Sumedang Regency, West Java resulted in moral and material losses. This condition prompted the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) academic community to provide medical and psychological assistance to children affected by the earthquake. The aim of this activity is to provide physical health services with assistance from the Faculty of Medicine, Pajajaran University, Bandung and provide art as therapy which can improve the mental condition of children after experiencing an earthquake.

Health activities include examining the physical condition of residents who affected by the earthquake. The mental condition of residents is taken into consideration by providing psychological services from the psychology team. Especially for children, art as therapy activities are carried out. These activities include expressing oneself through paper, jumping and drawing.

All of the activities above have had a positive impact on residents at the Babakan Hurip Command Post, Sumedang Regency, West Java.
