Activity Summary

Traditional fishermen generally catch fish in coastal areas in the area where they live. The fishing area will not be far from the coast and the equipment used is simple equipment such as fishing or nets. Therefore generally the income of traditional fishermen is very limited. With the increase in the price of fuel used for each shipping, making the community in this traditional fishing group has low income. Wireless fish trackers that use the internet of things (IoT) system basically send hydroacoustic signals the depth of bathymetry and the depth of objects detected in the sea, which is considered as fish. Unlike the existing fishfinder in the market, this tool does not use a connecting cable between the tranduser/sensor, transmitter and receiver . Fishermen will receive data on mobile phones in digital form that determines the location and depth of the fish. It is hoped that traditional fishermen go straight to the target and adjust to the nets/fishing equipment they have to catch fish. This tool is made with 2 schemes and wireless (practical), which is affixed to the body of the ship, so that the ship runs can be detected the presence of fish and removed sea level (by tied to the ship so that it is not too far) so that fishermen can be free to fish/fish.

This pink tool is produced limited to fishermen in Badung Regency, Bali. The activity was carried out for two days, in Kuta Village and trials in the sea held at Kelan Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. Therefore, in this first year the training will be specifically for fishermen and youth groups in the Kelan Beach area, Badung Regency, Bali with small pelagic fish on the southern coast of Bali. The socialization was also carried out on Untung Jawa Island, Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta.
