The global Covid-19 pandemic has caused major changes in the business activities of actors MSMEs which previously tended to be offline activities have become online, especially in promoting goods and services. Problems arise because there are still many MSME players who have not been able to maximize promotional activities through online media, especially social media. This will make it difficult for potential consumers to notice their business. Therefore, this community service activity emphasizes optimizing social media as a means of promoting ecoprint fabric crafts in Dlingo District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. Activities include training on the use of social media as a promotional tool. This community service is in partnership with the Indonesian Eco-Printer Association. The main target of this activity is women ecoprint craftsmen who are members of the Shero-She is a Hero community. The expected impact of this activity is that community members will be more economically empowered in helping to increase family income.
Increasing the understanding of ecoprint fabric craftsmen about the benefits of social media for promoting ecoprint fabrics. Building collaboration between communities of women ecoprint craftsmen, universities and partners in an effort to strengthen the village economy. Organizing offline training activities regarding optimizing the use of social media as a promotional tool. This community service activity is disseminated through articles in the mass media. The dissemination of these community service activities is through articles in national scientific journals for community service indexed by SINTA
The benefits of this activity are as follows: A. Benefits for the Community of Women Ecoprint Craftsmen. This activity awakens their creativity in using social media to promote ecoprint fabric crafts so that the products they produce are better known to the public and sales can increase. Apart from that, through this activity ecoprinter women become more empowered, especially economically because they have the opportunity to earn income. The fact that Dlingo is the sub-district with the second highest number of poor people in Bantul Regency is a strong reason to make women more empowered so that they can contribute to lifting their families out of the trap of poverty. B. Benefits for Dlingo District. This community service activity optimizes Dlingo's potential to become an area producing ecoprint fabric crafts which can become a characteristic of this area so that in the long term it can improve the economy in Dlingo. C. Direct and Indirect Benefits. The direct benefit of this activity is the formation of community economic empowerment, especially women's communities and rural communities in Muntuk Village, Dlingo District, Bantul Regency, DIY Province through developing the ability to optimize social media as a means of promoting regional specialty crafts. The indirect benefit of this activity is the application of this activity model in other provinces in Indonesia so that it can strengthen regional economic conditions and ultimately strengthen the national economy.
