Mangrove forests have a huge function for the environment, including as plants able to withstand sea water currents that erode coastal land, absorb carbon dioxide gas (CO2), produces oxygen, and as a place for various marine life to take shelter and find food, including mangrove crabs. This community service activity aims to strengthen the ecosystem mangroves and improve the economic level of the community by planting new mangroves and cultivating mangrove crabs. Mangrove planting was carried out at the Teluk Pangpang Biosite, Tegaldlimo, which is one of the Strategic Economic Areas (KSE) in East Java. Service activities This community service was implemented by the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) community service team in collaboration with the Fish Cultivator Group, the Raja Vaname Joint Business Group, and conservation members environment. Then the activity continued with the distribution of mangrove crabs using silvofishery techniques in abandoned ponds so that they can develop well and help the economy of cultivating communities. This activity increases awareness, understanding and commitment community to continue to protect the environment and mangrove forest ecosystem so that they can improve their well-being and quality of life.

Socialization of the impact of climate change and methods of saving it to the community
For the KK, this project is useful in realizing the participation of KK members in Humanities to make real contributions to society. For the Faculty and ITB it also shows that with a qualified scientific background, ITB can prove the spirit of being locally relevant and beneficial to society.
