Activity Summary

This Community Service Program aims to improve the quality of learning by providing Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model training to high school level Citizenship Education teachers in East Belitung Regency. The program was implemented using a participatory method involving 50 high school level Civics teachers through three main stages, namely; planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage consists of identifying participants, coordinating, selecting locations, and preparing materials. The implementation phase begins with discussions regarding learning problems in schools, delivery of material regarding the application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in Citizenship Education learning, as well as discussion and question and answer sessions regarding the integration of technology in learning and the development of relevant projects. with citizenship issues in the digital era. In this session, intensive mentoring was also carried out to assist teachers in designing, implementing and evaluating learning projects in class. At the evaluation stage, participants were asked to provide feedback to assess the effectiveness of training and monitoring the implementation of PjBL in schools. The results of Community Service activities for high school teachers in East Belitung Regency succeeded in increasing teachers' understanding and skills in applying the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Citizenship Education learning in the digital era. This improvement is reflected in the teacher's ability to design learning projects that integrate technology, facilitate student discussion and collaboration, and develop assessment instruments that suit the characteristics of PjBL. Training like this is really needed to improve teacher competence and professionalism, so that teachers have the ability to overcome various obstacles in learning and always innovate to support the creation of a learning atmosphere that is more interactive and relevant to current developments



Target

Increasing the knowledge and understanding of high school teachers in implementing the project based learning model in civic education learning. Increasing the knowledge, insight and skills of high school teachers in East Belitung Regency in the use and utilization of digital technology to support the teaching process in schools
