Activity Summary

Microalgaa naturally acts as a mainly aquatic producer, where the energy of sunlight is used to convert inorganic substances from low potential chemical energy into organic substances with high potential chemical energy, and other aquatic lives directly or indirectly depend on their activities. Microalgaes contain protein, lipid, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins and can be used as nutritious food sources for humans and animals, and are often used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, microalgae can act as a natural life feed for various production of fish farming and shrimp. Various studies of the use of microalgae cultivation in cultivation production show that microalgae cultivation has high market potential. Microalgae cultivation can be done on a small scale, even mass semi mass. North Bali, one of the main locations of fisheries and cultivation production in Indonesia, is very potential for mass microalgae cultivation in bulk. Workshop opened with a speech from Ir.
