Activity Summary

Awareness of the public for the importance of consuming safe food, has two visions, namely, the issue of food security or food security and food security issues or food safety. This is done, given the large number of unhealthy foods circulating widely on the market. Not only from the source or type of food, but also from many additional foods that are harmful to health. The Indonesian government has regulated the implementation of food in Indonesia (Law No. 18 of 2012) about food. Halal Description is very useful for consumers, because it will help make it easier for people to recognize food halal, which can be used as health insurance, halal, security of a food product within a certain extent, which is also protection and satisfaction for consumers. The implementation of PM activities in the form of seminars (training), assistance, and counseling towards Halal Canteen Certification throughout ITB. Seminar activities and socialization of the halal guarantee system and the critical point of food halal, have the purpose of providing understanding and knowledge of the provision of halal products and processes to halal certification.
