Besides the problem of coconut waste, the island of Singkep which is geographically located quite far from The provincial capital makes the supply of fuel oil or gas for cooking purposes difficult to obtain and if there are prices more expensive than the city in the provincial capital. One of the solutions is to utilize coconut shell waste as a material Burn alternative (briquette). In addition, the livelihood of the community on the island of Singkep, which is generally fishermen, makes the island of Singkep as one of the islands with abundant fish production. However, if the seafood is sold directly outside the island, the price of fish is cheap because of the abundant supply of fish.
