Disadvantaged, frontier and outermost (3T) areas often have very limited or even non-existent telecommunications infrastructure, making conventional internet access difficult or impossible to obtain. As a result, residents in the 3T area have difficulty accessing important information that can improve their quality of life, such as information about education, health and economic opportunities.
This community service (PM) activity aims to increase access to information in the area 3T through the use of satellite internet. This activity will be carried out in one of the 3T villages, namely Nursifa Village, East Patani District, Central Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. The method used involves installing and distributing satellite internet at several strategic points in the village which are often places where people gather.
It is hoped that with reliable internet access, the people of Nursifa Village can more easily access relevant information and < em>up-to-date, which in turn can increase productivity. Apart from that, this activity aims to increase technology and information literacy among the community, which is expected to open up new opportunities in education, health and the economy. Another expected benefit is increased communication between village residents and their families outside the area, as well as facilitating collaboration with external parties which can bring various development opportunities to the village.
In the end, this activity is expected to be role modelfor other villages in the 3T region to adopt satellite internet technology to overcome limited access to information and improve the quality of life of the community.
This activity is useful in helping to resolve or at least alleviate drinking water problems for the community in Bokem Village.
