Pangandaran Regency was officially formed on November 17, 2012. As a new autonomous region, Pangandaran Regency set the main focus of development in the construction of infrastructure and economic improvement. In an effort to help develop Pangandaran Regency, the Research and Community Service Institute for the Bandung Technology Institute submitted a community service program that focused on optimizing the use of natural resources in Pangandaran Regency. The economy in Pangandaran Regency is dominated by the tourism and fisheries sector. In addition to these two sectors, Pangandaran Regency has great potential in the natural resources of agriculture and forestry. The area of ​​rice fields in Pangandaran Regency was recorded at 13,000 ha with a type of irrigation rice fields and rainfed. While the forest area reaches 28,898 ha. This abundant natural resource has not been utilized by the maximum. The abundant natural resources in Pangandaran Regency can be used as a source of new income by utilizing it as raw materials in fungal cultivation. Mushrooms are one example of future food, mushrooms have many benefits including high protein content, containing anticholesterol substances, and various other mineral vitamins. Mushroom cultivation is also relatively easy and the demand is always increasing every year. The program will be carried out through the process of training and coaching so that it is expected to realize an independent business center and can increase the economic level of the community. In addition to the technical manufacture, the community will also be equipped with knowledge of processing into finished products and how to develop its business. The design of this program includes training activities, monitoring, administration of business capital, and mentoring.
