Landslide/land movements and drought and drought are events that often occur in Indonesia, especially in West Java. This disaster is caused by several factors, namely the West Java region which is dominated by mountains and hills, the phenomenon of extreme weather changes and can cause enormous rain but also a long drought, also the Indonesian territory lies in the subduction zone of three world plates that allow easy land movements. The landslide can take casualties and lives of property. Likewise the drought disaster can cause agricultural/plantation products to decline so that the economy will be disrupted. The biggest problem related to this Disaster is public awareness, especially those who live in the area around the disaster prone is still lacking so that in some events it can take more victims both victims of property and casualties. In addition, the mapping of landslide -prone areas and drought areas provided by the government also still needs improvement with higher accuracy. In this study it was proposed to use the geophysical method in dealing with the problem of natural disasters/land movements and drought. Some geophysical methods related to landslides/soil movements and drought can be carried out for disaster mitigation purposes. The results of the study can be used as a source of information related to this natural disaster mitigation. These results include maps of landslide prone areas /land movements and drought as well as knowledge about how the landslide process occurred. The use of research results for communities around disaster -prone areas will be carried out through several activities including the installation of early warning equipment and socialization in the form of training and counseling to the community and schools about disaster related to landslides/land movements and drought. With this activity it is hoped that the community can be aware of the dangers of landslides and can avoid the dangers of landslides. In addition, drought problems can be overcome by mapping areas that have groundwater sources that can be utilized in overcoming this drought problem.
