.Pengabdian society can not be separated from the cooperation between KK Ecology School of Biological Sciences and Technology Department of Biological Science at the University of Andalas. Thus, the development of the South Siberut region is one form of synergy between universities that opens opportunities for the formation of further cooperation. The benefit of this cooperation is the ease of access, communication and technical assistance to achieve the location of service which is one of the outer areas in Indonesia. Cooperation can also be seen from the education program for the community carried out with ITB and Unand who are adjusted to the conditions and needs of the intended region. In the long term, the more open opportunities for cooperation in the scope of other studies after the implementation of service based on observations and feedback from service activities.
