Activity Summary

Sexual transmitted infections (IMS) are infections that are transmitted through sexual relations. In Indonesia IMS figures tend to increase but the spread is difficult to explore the source. Bali is a tourist area consisting of 9 districts / cities namely, Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Gianyar, Klungkung, Bangli, Karang Asem, Buleleng, Denpasar. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the number of foreign tourists to Bali in 2019 was 2.84 million. Therefore the risk of transmission of various kinds of diseases is increasing, one of which is STI. The transmission rate tends to increase from previous years. HIV cases that occur in Bali can be triggered by the incidence of STIs. Efforts that are far earlier in the prevention of STIs among them such as the provision of education. This is in line with one of the roles of colleges in the Tri Darma college is community service. To answer these conditions, direct action needs to be carried out to the public in the form of education in an effort to prevent the incidence of STIs and furthermore HIV events. The more detailed purpose of this community service includes: 1. Identify the condition of community knowledge about IMS and HIV 2. Increasing Knowledge of Balinese people about IMS and HIV 3. Increasing the level of alertness of the Balinese society against IMS and HIV 4. Implement the role of university tridarma, namely community service This community service will be carried out in all districts / cities in the province of Bali with the order of the process as follows: 1. Preliminary studies related to the prevalence of IMS and HIV in Bali and distribution in each district 2. Determination of the Puskesmas which will be used as a place for education in each district / city 3. Compilation of modules about IMS and HIV as a tool in providing education 4. Compilation of questionnaires to see the distribution of the basic conditions of the Balinese people regarding the knowledge of STI and HIV 5. Provision of a questionnaire 6. Provision of education in each district with the method of giving modules and lectures



Target

Data descriptive data obtained includes preventive, promotive, and curative IMS and HIV. In addition, it is expected that there will be an increase in the alertness and knowledge of STI and HIV in the people of Bali.

Sexual transmitted infection (IMS) is a risk factor for HIV events. HIV infection is a harmful condition due to a decrease in the immune system. The impact of the decline in the immune system is easily attacked by the body of sufferers by foreign objects so that other infectious diseases can emerge. Other diseases that occur can be accumulated and lead to death because there are no systems that improve conditions. Bali is an area with HIV cases quite high. The number of tourist visits both at home and abroad can trigger the occurrence of STI and HIV.
