According to the terms of the law, the management of forest areas with the Special Objective (KHDTK) of Geulis (HPGG) education forests should not change their functions as protected forests and their implementation must involve and empower the surrounding communities. However, which community will play an active role in the management of KHDTK HPGG of course is a community that has concern for Gunung Geulis and has sufficient knowledge about the cultivation of forest (silviculture). The research activity was conducted by socializing the PPM program to the Parapihak around the ITB HPGG area, Penjaringan (Recruitment) of the Training Participants (Silvicultural cadres), and the preparation of the training module. The training was held at the Sawahdadap Village Hall, Cimanggug District on July 4, 2017 for a full day. The participants present stated that this training was very interesting (83.3%) and submitting material by tutors, very interesting (77.88%). This PPM program greatly helps improve forest management skills. Formed and in which silviculturalist cadres intensively in the community can benefit ITB in the management of KHDTK HPGG.
