Activity Summary

Two groups of people affected by the economic downturn after the occurrence of Covid-19 pandemics since the beginning of 2020, the two community groups had little ability to switch professions due to their low level of education. Their drastic declining income makes their quality of life decreases because it turns out they also do not have full awareness for living in life and choose healthy food. They need to be given counseling how to seek a lifestyle and consume healthy foods with efficient expenditure, and are fostered so that their business activities also increase. From the initial analysis of the implementing team to the business conditions and the environmental conditions of the assisted group, it was planned that counseling and assistance activities of micro-enterprises based on the principle of Grow What You Eat, Consume What You Produce. This principle is taken because in the neighborhood of the built group, namely in Jeungjingrigil Village, there is still a potential to synergize land cultivators and traders to do all stages of food cycle, starting from growing food, producing food, marketing and selling food. If this activity can continue to be carried out as it has been achieved until this report was decided, the change in lifestyle of the assisted group will gradually follow the concept of Grow What You Eat, Consume What You Produce, so that it can improve the quality of life and the financial condition of the two community groups.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred starting early in 2020, there were many groups financially affected people because their business activities experience a lot interference or stop. Two groups of people like this are observed by the team Acting community activities in this proposal are community groups in Jeungjingrigil Village and small traders around the ITB campus.
