One of the common MSME sector problems is known to be a lack of education and the low level of financial literacy of the MSMEs, although until now there has been no definite data regarding the financial literacy profile of MSMEs in the city of Bandung. Providing business loans to less competent businesses can increase the risk of default for business loans provided. The high number of non-performing loans can have a negative impact on the economic conditions of the community. Therefore, this research is important to get data on Literacy and Financial Inclusion Profiles of MSMEs in the city of Bandung, especially in the area around the Bandung Institute of Technology Ganesha Campus. This community service program aims to determine the level of MSME financial literacy and provide training for MSMEs in the city of Bandung in order to increase the financial literacy of the business actors of this sector. This research is expected to benefit the financial industry on the market conditions of the MSME and provide empirical evidence of the conditions of MSME financial literacy in the city of Bandung.
Implementation of social care activities in the form of education / counseling / mentoring
Data collection with the interview method and the deployment of the questionnaire to MSME players is considered effective in explaining and understanding the situation in the field. However, this method is considered quite draining and a long time. If the research deadline given is fairly short, we do not suggest using this method. The next problem is the determination of the date of training, because of the many MSMEs that cannot be present on the grounds that they cannot leave the efforts they run. Therefore, training intended for PEaku MSMEs should be held on holidays or weekends.
