Geographically, Indonesia is an archipelagic country located at the confluence of four tectonic plates, namely the Asian continental plate, the Australian continental plate, the Indian Ocean plate and the Pacific Ocean. Indonesia's geographical conditions have the potential to cause various impacts of natural disasters. Priority mitigation, adaptation and disaster management programs need to be implemented in response to the increasing number of natural disasters in Indonesia. Mitigation, adaptation and disaster management activities are prioritized areas in the community outreach program to reduce the risks and impacts of disasters so as to prevent disasters, reduce losses and increase benefits. Based on the survey, most pharmacists have a sufficient level of knowledge and preparedness regarding disaster mitigation. However, there has been no comprehensive survey to record the readiness of health workers and available health facilities in disaster-prone areas. Therefore, this community service program is focused on surveying the level of knowledge of pharmacists and the readiness of health service facilities in disaster-prone areas in West Java. These areas include Sumedang, Cianjur, Tasikmalaya, Garut, Banten and Ciamis. The disasters that most often occur in these areas are landslides, floods and earthquakes, so the survey will focus on these natural disasters while still including other natural disasters in smaller proportions. This survey was conducted using a questionnaire that measures the knowledge and readiness of health workers and health service facilities regarding natural disasters. The results of this survey will be the basis for mapping health workers (especially Disaster Response Pharmacists) who need to be prepared, and the survey results will be developed into an educational book on disaster mitigation.
