Based on research ever before, there are still areas that have problems regarding the lack of understanding of the concept of creative cities so that it has a negative impact on the implementation of its policies. Unlike the city of Bandung, based on the results of the region studio conducted in 2015, Tasikgua Regency is still very limited in managing knowledge and innovating because the local leaders do not understand the concept of the real creative city. This community service activity is an effort to respond to the results of the regional planning studio conducted in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2015, a dissertation regarding Meanings, Pattern, and Impacts of Creative Industries and Regional Economic Development Indonesia, and research on the analysis of indonesia�s Creative City: The case of Bandung. The purpose of this community service is to improve the understanding of local government and society, especially the people who play an active role in creative activities, about creative city planning based on the potential of Tasikmalaya Regency.
Implementation of social care activities in the form of education / counseling / mentoring
No obstacles and meaningful difficulties in this community service activities. However, there is a little obstacles related to coordination with the Tasikmalaya Regency Government partner regarding Implementation of workshops, so there is a schedule adjustment and the material provided. For improving the community service program, we sense partnership with outside parties being one of the things that need to be focused so that service activities can answer Challenges or issues that are in accordance with the needs and conditions of the activity object.
