Activity Summary

One of the vulnerable areas in Indonesia is the metropolitan area of ​​Bandung. Bandung has a high vulnerability due to a population of nearly 2.5 million with a population growth rate of 1.81%, and the closest source of the earthquake from Bandung, namely from Lembang's fault, estimated to accumulate the energy equivalent of the M6.8 earthquake. The Lembang ceatball route that passes through West Bandung Regency and Bandung Regency has been mapped by Daryono (2016) is expected to have an impact on the metropolitan area of ​​Bandung. The estimated seismic hazard with a redust period of 2500 years based on the initial results of the 2017 National Earthquake Map update can reach 0.8 g in the metropolitan area of ​​Bandung. Research and understanding of the earthquake disaster risk need to be improved, and subsequently carried out efforts to be disseminated to the government, the stakeholders are assocated, and the community. For this reason, this community service intends to contribute to the DRR effort by building community resilience to disasters, specifically the earthquake disaster.
