Bali Puspi is a NGO that is moving from, by and for disabilities that produce fake feet down and above the knee and are given free of charge to people with disabilities in East Bali and Indonesia. At present they are still using fake knee components in the form of single-axis joint knees for their products. To fulfill the goals and goals, this PM works with Puspadi Bali as SME partners. The form of cooperation in question is the provision of technology from ITB and implementation and and testing by ITB and partners. In order to achieve the goal of implementing research technology in the industry, mature preparation is needed. With the current Indonesian infrastructure, the prosthetic knees result of research can be produced. Likewise with the readiness of the user, this developed prosthetic knee technology has been adapted to prosthetic standards commonly used in the Indonesian industry, so that it can be interchangeable with commonly used knees. Some of the features of the seeded products include the use of polymers as the main composition of products, integrated rotation modules, simple and modular adapters in the form of clamps and applying aesthetic design on fake foot products.
Application of appropriate technology
Bali Puspi still uses fake knee components in the form of a primitive single-axis knee joint for its products. This type of knee is not stable when the position of the stance, so it can endanger its users, psychologically and physically.
