Activity Summary

The issue of clean water shortage in Alas Village, East Kobalima District, Malaka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, has been addressed through the implementation of appropriate technology in the form of water drilling and ultrafiltration system installation. This program is a collaboration between ITB and the Ministry of Village Development (Kemendes PDTT) to provide safe drinking water directly to the community. The installation of a hydram pump and ultrafiltration system has successfully alleviated the clean water crisis, improved health standards, and empowered the community through facility management training. This program has had a tangible impact on the health and well-being of the local population.



Target

The resulting positive impacts include: Improved Health, Access to clean water reduces the risk of disease due to unhygienic water. Economic Efficiency, Residents no longer need to buy water at high costs, so they can allocate their income for other needs. System Sustainability, The training provided to residents ensures that the system can continue to operate independently in the long term.
