The ITB Campus as the manager of the Gunung Geulis Educational Forest Special Purpose Forest Area (KHDTK) has a very important position and role in participating in educating and empowering the communities around the forest area. Through the Community Service activities for the 2024 PPMI scheme, an approach to the production and business of bamboo product crafts is being attempted, namely by providing complete equipment which is still lacking as well as direct and ongoing coaching and assistance. This community service activity will focus on mentoring so that groups that have been previously trained can produce bamboo crafts that can be sold/marketed.
Providing training and assistance to members of the Gunung Geulis Communication Forum group to be able to produce bamboo crafts
Develop scientific fields, especially bamboo, in the SITH-ITB Forestry Technology Scientific Group, and introduce bamboo processing techniques, especially bamboo crafts, to the community
