Prabu Wardono
PERCA or textile fabric waste has been used by many people or entrepreneurs to produce various products including doormat, placemat plate / glass, cempal and the like. But this kind of product seems to show limited opportunities for producers to reap profits for each product. This is due to the fact that, in terms of its function, it appears that these products are difficult to improve their status so as to provide high added value to its users, although it is not impossible that the quality of this kind of product can vary through increasing value added functions and appearances, but still will be limited. In this community service, PERCA is studied to see the opportunity to become a furniture support material in the hope that the value of the value of the patchwork products can be increased better than the perca status on the previous product. In fact, fabric has also been studied by its role to be used as furniture supporting materials abroad, although it seems that it does not yet developed the commercial level. In this case, fabric is used with woven techniques so that it can be used as a seat or backrest to create a variety of casual seats. With this reference, researchers assume that PERCA or textile waste can be appointed status to be a woven material to develop the design of sitting facilities.
