Since 2019, LPPM ITB collaborates with the Art Foundation & Amp; The culture of Rodha Among Karsa (Rakata) initiated community empowerment programs in the village of Ciburial, Bandung. This program focuses on increasing economic value and selling power from the village community craft products. Participants who are the main focus of this program are then divided into 3 different groups, these groups are: 1. The processing group of this group waste material focuses on producing accessories with small-scale production utilizing a variety of waste materials, such as: coconut shell, wooden pieces, etc. So far their products are sold around the tourist area of ​​Ciburial village, with the main sales target of tourists who come. 2. Bamboo processing group This group produces various kinds of processed bamboo; Starting from tableware, household, toys etc. The group leader is a painting artist who utilizes the availability of many bamboo ingredients in his environment and started a business by inviting residents in his neighborhood to jointly engage in bamboo crafts. 3. The group of patchwork processing this group was initiated by Ms. Maspupah which had a business of convection of sheets and completeness. The waste from convection is quite large and can be reprocessed to be a variety of different products that have high craft and economic value. Therefore, maspupah mothers took the initiative to gather mothers around the neighborhood where they live to work together to process the patchy waste with the aim of increasing productivity and living standards of mothers around through the processing of the craft.
Planting Business Group and UKM Development
This program focuses on increasing the economic value and selling power of the village community craft products, the problems among Ciburial village craftsmen include stammer, the need to develop markets and products, the difficulty of making standardization of product quality and production system who hasn't cost and time effective.
