. My reading for children plays an important role in introducing and giving an understanding of the world at the beginning of his life. The attention of the public in children's books has recently increased with the awareness of parents of the importance of education in the early childhood. The government through institutions relating to basic education provides books with educational content which is now tailored to the ability and level of development of its readers. Children's book readers segmentation has become the highest market in the Grocery Industry (LBF Indonesia, 2019). Since 2009 Visual Communication Design DKV FSRD - ITB has made a curriculum containing illustration material and children's book design. The development trend of specialization in child book illustrations is then growing. Proven from the many visual communication design studies programs in various high education in Indonesia have produced the work of child book final assignments. The topic of the story that was appointed was so extensive, ranging from folklor, character education, fairy tales, to acting books for children. The purpose of this activity is to produce an ideal formulation of the creative concepts needed in the making of illustrations and design children's books with stage-by-stage.
