Activity Summary

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport became increasingly busy every year. Based on Airnav's data in 2016, there were around 1,200 aircraft movements including take off and landing at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in one day. Various movements made the Soekarno-Hatta Airport in the airport to become the 12th busiest airport in the world based on Airport Council International (ACI). The long queue of planes in the taxiway can indeed be denied and one of the problems it needs to be resolved. This research will make a simulation of aircraft movements at Soekarno-Hatta international airport taxi lanes using Rockwell Arena simulation software. The simulation results will be the total taxi time of the aircraft, the intersection which happened traffic, and the total aircraft conducted a taxi in and taxi out. This simulation will help to determine and evaluate the factors that trigger a queue in the taxiway and modify the taxi route to reduce traffic. The results of this study can be applied by the airport as a reference in aircraft scheduling departing or arriving, developing airport air side facilities, and increasing the taxi route so that the taxi time of the aircraft can be reduced.
