Activity Summary

Modern air-to-air battles use the advantages of stealth aircraft, long-distance missiles, and information network support. This tactic is known as a fight outside the visual range (BVR). Because this tactic is very different from conventional in visual range in the WVR battle, information about the ability of the opponent's plane threat. The purpose of this study was to develop a method for assessing the ability of threats and building a database of aircraft excellence as the basis for developing a BVR combat system. Thirteen important parameters have been identified and grouped into four categories. Assessment uses the analytic process hierarchy (AHP). The results showed the ranking of combat aircraft advantages based on BVR combat capabilities.
