Bengkulu Provincial Government since 2012, including the Bengkulu City Government, promoted the use of yard land to support food independence. The target of this program is a household or household group in one neighbor's pillars, pillars or one hamlet / village. Observations show that the growing plants used are land and mixed compost. Although this practice is in accordance with the technical instructions for the use of the yard published by BPTP, Bengkulu Province (2012), the technical issue that must be anticipated ahead is the provision of plants growing media. Dependence on land and compost can interfere with the sustainability of this program. The production system that must be prepared is a package of technology by not using soil-production system. The introduction of hydroponic technology for vegetable plant production on yard land in the city of Bengkulu must be a simple and uncomplicated system, affordable costs, using local materials is easily obtained, not dependent on electrical energy, and uses high-economic value plants. Hydroponic technology is expected to be a solution for the needs of growing vegetable plants produced on yard land. The scope of this community service activity is 2 (two) combined farmer groups (gapoktan) in the city of Bengkulu in an introduction to hydroponic technology for the production of policies in the yard in the city of Bengkulu. The activity carried out is the determination of the pilot and target groups, group strengthening, module making, the intersiation of hydroponic system assistance technical culture of vegetable production, and dissemination of activities.
