The marine and coastal areas along with its natural resources have strategic meaning for the development of the Indonesian economy because they can be relied upon as one of the national economic pillars. The participation of the Bandung Institute of Technology in the construction of coastal areas, especially fishermen, through community service programs with the title Strengthening Coastal Village Development Program by involving appropriate technology use programs, a form of contribution to the fisherman community at Santolo Beach, West Java, precisely in Pamalayan Village, Pamalayan Village, Cikelet District, Garut Regency The form of activity, in the initial proposal, submitted in the community service program is in form: making showrooms in the form of a series of coral reef maintenance aquarium and seawater ornamental fish; The use of cold storage, namely the use of cold storage in the form of a horizontal freezer for fishermen society; Making Information Technology Laboratory; and counseling for coastal communities. In the counseling program for coastal communities, we conduct counseling activities on the use of fish dryers. This activity can increase the knowledge of coastal communities in maintaining product quality of fisheries catches. All program activities carried out with the community are expected to increase development in coastal areas, especially the welfare of the fisherman community at Santolo Beach, Garut, West Java.
