North Sulawesi is one of the rich sea resources, one of which is a sponge (phylum: porifera), which can be a source of bioactive or biomaterials to cultivate health. However, the content of bioactive and biomaterials that are limited to making sponge cultivation need to be developed, so that the need for the need to damage the ecosystem. Knowledge of wealth, utilization, sector of which needs to be increased through long-term cooperation with mutidisciplinary. MoA-based between Sith ITB and the Polytechnic Nusa Utara (Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi), the activities of the community are carried out in the form of socialization and reinforcement for lecturers and students of Nusa Utan Nusa Polytechnic with the goals to increase the knowledge and awareness of the potential of the variety of marine vertebrates around Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, in the health sector, which is the realm of scientific groups of physiology, development, and biomedical science (KK FPHSB). This activity is carried out by hybrid, which is online (in the network) to share research experiences in the use of Indonesian natural wealth in the health sector and then followed by Luring. This activity also involved the community around Nusa Utara Polytechnic.
Publicity
With this project, (1) lecturers and students from the Department of Fisheries / Bacharti and the Department of Health Polnustar are more aware of the magnitude of the potential of marine organisms in the health sector, especially in terms of science and biomedical technology; As well as (2) the knowledge and ability of the coastal community of the Sangihe Islands Regency in the cultivation of marine organisms and its benefits in the health sector become increasing.
