Activity Summary

The growth of the agricultural sector fell from year to year. Since 2010 to 2014, per year growth is only around 2%. The institutional effectiveness of agricultural business partnerships in production centers has not shown optimal performance because of the weak commitment between partner partners, management that is less transparent, there is no market guarantee and price on all agricultural commodities and the lack of guaranteed supply for suppliers or partner companies. The purpose of this research is to build collaboration from business people involved in the West Java agriculture business in the process of exchanging information so that it becomes a first step in making a platform that is able to facilitate farmers, as well as other business people such as collectors, gapoktan, supermarkets, processors , retail trader. As well as with the relevant government, such as Bappeda, Agriculture Service, the Department of Commerce and Extension Coordinating Board. In addition, this research intends to provide insight into internet technology and social media to farmers in West Java. From the implementation of this internet use training program, it will be achieved three things which are the purpose of this program. First, it is expected that the increase in farming awareness of the importance of internet use. Second, increased the ability of farmers in using the Internet and Social Media, as part of the information exchange tool and publication for farmers. Third, it is expected that farmers have been able to produce a social media management plan from each account that is owned, both individual and group accounts. This PM activity includes farmer training and cooperatives in the West Java region (Bandung, Cianjur, Ciamis, Sukabumi, Kuningan, Banjar, Sumedang). The training that has been done is: 1.
